Creating Tessellation Graph Paper

Objective: Use GeoGebra to create tessellation graph paper(s). These graph papers will be

used to aid you you in the creation of your Tessellation Art Project.

  1. Go to http://www.geogebra.org/webstart/geogebra.html to load a web-based applet version of GeoGebra.
  2. Go to the View menu and unselect the "Axes" and "Algebra View" options. You should now have just a blank window to work with.
  3. Use GeoGebra to create dynamic graph paper using parallelograms as an underlying tessellation. It will look something like this:

    Remember to hide the points and then you can use the properties box to change the Style of

    all the segments to dashed lines. Note: Yours need not have as many tiles, but make sure it

    covers your screen.

  4. Use GeoGebra to create dynamic graph paper using kites as an underlying tessellation. It will look something like this:
