Objective: Explore impossible objects and Escher's prints based on impossible figures.

  1. Decide which of the following 9 figures are impossible, and which ones are possible. For some you may want to look at the cross-sections and see if they make sense. For others you may want to draw the vanishing lines. Some may be ambiguous. Carefully explain which figures you think are possible and which ones you think are impossible.
  2. What's wrong with the following figure?
