All M.C. Escher works © Cordon Art BV - Baarn - the Netherlands.
Over the course of his career, Escher filled five folio notebooks with sketches of periodic tessellations. These were not intended for public consumption, but instead sources of ideas and design patterns he would use in creating his finished graphic works.
Escher numbered his sketches, from 1 to 137.

Print Availability
The best source for these is Visions of Symmetry which contains each one in Escher's numbered order on pages 116-234. Many are also reproduced in Magic of M.C. Escher. See the list of illustrations on page 195.
